Wednesday 16th October 2019 – 9 – 3.00pm “Get it right for Dyslexia – Get it right for all”.
Full day event for Teachers working in KS3/4, £95 per delegate includes lunch and refreshments.
Neil Mackay, International speaker on Dyslexia. Neil is a freelance consultant and trainer who created the concept of Dyslexia Friendly Schools.
“Get it right for Dyslexia – Get it right for all” which is about how to implement inclusive practices for students who think faster than they read, write and spell.
The presentation is workshop based, very interactive and takes participants through all the activities so they know they work before getting back to the classroom.
Neil will provide solutions and strategies to issues around working memory and processing speed, in ways that class/subject teachers can implement immediately.
Neil will also present easily “do-able” ways to support reluctant writers to get ideas down on paper and comprehension strategies for students who “get” a subject but who struggle with the reading.
