The assessment will hopefully allow me to continue onto college, knowing the correct support is there to support my learning. Thank you Sarah-Jane.
Student, aged 16 years old, Yarm, July 2020It was pleasure to have Sarah-Jane do my dyslexia assessment, she was warm and welcoming and made me feel at ease throughout. Everything was explained as we went through the assessment and at no point did I feel under pressure.
As we went through all the results were talked through to give me an understanding of what was going on. The assessment was thorough and Sarah-Jane clearly has a high depth of knowledge on the subject. I would thoroughly recommend her services to anybody in need.

A wonderful quote from a child aged 8 who was assessed last week –
“Morning Sarah-Jane, we are all great, **** is doing super, it’s amazing the difference in him since you came. He has started to read again and he seems so much happier in himself. He is smiling and we have not had any frustrations at all. It’s as if he has had a massive weight lifted off his shoulders. He asked to read that night and he said…..” I cant believe Sarah-Jane has helped me read, I can do it mummy” Thank you so much!

Dyscalculia Assessment
Sarah-Jane was very thorough in her pre-assessment work and ensured that there was a very clear dialogue centred around what the assessment needed to achieve.
She worked hard to put the pupil at ease and they reported feeling very comfortable working with her and enjoyed the assessment.
Sarah-Jane’s report was thorough and clearly outlined steps school could take to help reduce the gap. I would highly recommend this service.

Just writing to say ‘thank you’ for your professional advice and recommendations for our daughter (age 17 years). The testing you carried out confirmed that our daughter wasn’t just slow and needed to ‘speed up’ as stated by many teachers over the years but has a difficulty with processing information and your recommendations for further assessment led to a Dyspraxia diagnosis. The report you supplied us resulted in support from college within a week. I can’t recommend your service enough.
Parent – student aged 17 years, East Cleveland, May 2019.

Sarah-Jane offered a very professional service for assessing the students for their exam access arrangements. Excellent.
We were so impressed with her organisation and communication throughout the whole process. She is very skilled and knowledgeable and provided a thorough assessment using a good range of testing materials to ensure all needs were identified in accordance with the JCQ regulations. All the assessments and relevant paperwork were completed within a very good time frame.
As we always put the children at the centre of all that we do we were very impressed with her calm, approachable and friendly manner with all the students she worked with. She made them feel at ease and was able to engage them fully in the process in a supportive way. We would certainly ask Sarah- Jane to work with us again in the future. As a serving Executive Head Teacher, I rely on the advice and expertise of Sarah-Jane Monsarratt regarding ensuring the SEN provisions in the schools I support are to the highest quality. Her advice and support takes on many forms, including –
- Advice and training on effective teaching tools and interventions
- Assessments of individuals to identify specific needs and barriers to learning
- Consultancy support for SENCos to ensure provision is the highest quality, the Code of Practice is adhered to and impact is monitored
The support we have received has had a direct impact on pupil progress and has attributed to one of our academies being in the top 1% of schools nationally for progress across KS2. I would recommend the services of ‘Monsarratt Specialist Teaching Services’ to all SENCos and Headteachers and would not be without her support. April 2018
